Contemporary Art? Can we tell them apart?
I would like to see if people could recognize which acts were produce solely in the name of art and which ones are actually acts of crime. Not only committed by braking the law but also crime committed against human nature and morality.

Could you please take the time to just answer this questions to know if you think it is either crime or art of none. Thank you.

It is not a general knowledge question is just to gather date for an essay.

1 – A woman that fertilized herself every month and then performed repeated self-induced miscarriages, during the curse of nine months.

your questions unanswerable on the basis that art, or crime comes under (A) art, whats the highest price the ”art” can command and (b) crime is what a given society considers to be unacceptable under it’s laws and therefore sanctionable.

Why is a female actress of Lady Macbeth better than a male actor?

Obviously in Shakespeare’s time it was an all male cast, but why would a male actor not evoke as much sympathy as a female actress? Thanks in advance.

If you look at some of Lady Macbeth’s most powerful speeches, you’ll notice that they’re about things that are very specifically WOMAN-related.

In her "letter speech" early in the play, she prays to Dark Forces, saying: "come to my woman’s breasts, and take my milk for gall…"

Later, in Act I, scene 7, the speech that actually persuades Macbeth to get back on-board with the plot to kill Duncan is the one that begins: "I have given suck, and know how tender ’tis to love the babe that milks me…"

I would suggest that, while a competent male actor could get some mileage out of such lines, it would take a TRUE woman’s perspective to really get to the bottom of them.

Any art galleries my friend can display his work?

My friend has got some great pieces, and I’m trying to help him find a gallery or two that he can display his work at. Any places open in New York City or Brooklyn? If so.. any idea how you submit them?

Do a Google search for galleries near you and the best thing he could do is to walk in personally and show them his work. Or take a few pieces with him to show, to give them an idea of what he can do.If they are interested they will say so and if not you haven’t really lost anything Right ?

What are the disadvantages with painting a bedroom with only primer?

I am painting a ground floor bedroom with only primer, and it looks pretty good and am fine with the white colour. What are the disadvantages with painting with only primer. Can I paint the latex paint over the primer in let’s say in about a year?

If you are happy with the look it’s fine but if the wall gets dirty or hand oils on the finish paint could have problems bonding in places a year later when you apply it. The finish coat is easier to clean and more of a firm sealed surface.

Victor Rubin Exhibition 2009 – Eva Breuer Art Dealer

The small masonite paintings from Raine Street Bondi Junction 1974-1976: August 20 – September 8, 2009

Victor Rubins August show will be an important historical showing of some 44 1970s paintings on masonite which have never been exhibited. Painted when Rubin was in his early to late 20s the boards have been archived in Victors studio since they were painted. The period covers 1974-1976 with the majority of paintings from 1974-75 when he was living in Raine Street Bondi Junction in Sydney.

This period of his work follows on from his involvement with the famous Yellow House in Macleay Street, Potts Point where he exhibited in 1971 at which point the Yellow House attracted the most cutting edge contemporary artists of the time including Brett Whiteley and others. The period is also marked by a strong influence from John Olsen who was Rubins teacher at the Bakery Art School and who remains a close friend.
